Embry Riddle. How about that. I live not too far away, and there are a bunch of Middle Eastern students living down the block who are training there.

Just on the surface it sounds like someone who had high aspirations in life, but failed to achieve, probably due to social ineptitude. Heaven only knows how he tried to buttress his ego, but in the end the whole house of cards came crashing down, at which point he decided to end it all, making a big statement as he went.
I remember the Original Embry Riddle School of Aviation, 3300 block N.W. 27 Avenue, Miami Florida. Nicknamed “The Chicken Coop”. Was built as a hotel and converted to a school.
I lived 9 blocks away, 1939-1962.
