You are wrong, Piers Morgan said it was an “AR-15 shotgun.” He didn’t specify if was either the automatic or the assault shotgun version though.
Vice President Biden couldn’t be reached for comment but he threatened to shoot reporters through the door.
My guess is that he'll simply shout louder and give even less time for rebuttal to any who disagree with his asininities.

If you point out that any of the lamestream is wrong or that they are lying, they are dismissive and go on with their lies or non-facts.
Kind of like when Les Nesman was reading about “CHY CHY RODWAGWEEZ” on the news. When he was corrected off air to learn that his name is pronounced Chee Chee Rodreegus, he wnet back to the way was saying it.
Less than one hour ago, Faux news was still saying that it was an AR15.
Piers Morgan and the anti-gun crowds self-righteously portray themselves as so concerned about the shooting victims but I bet those blowhards never lost a single wink of sleep over these tragedies. It’s like Obama says how much he’s aghast over the poor kids gassed in Syria, and then goes out for a round of golf. These politicians and pundits don’t care about people but simply use issues and incidents as platforms to exploit for their own power, and I quite frankly think a great majority of them are sociopaths incapable of caring about anyone but themselves.
This fact will not bother the gun-grabbers. Facts never do. I only hope some token gun right’s advocate on one of the talk shows has the ‘nads to shout: “It was a shotgun, just like Joe Biden said to use!”

So, the libs will ignore the existent AR-15, and instead focus on the fact that the gunmen appears to have taken two weapons off of people he shot. I've already seen (on Facebook and elsewhere) numerous variations of "See? Armed civilians can't stop massacres like this!"
