Don't you believe it!
The "deterrent" effect of actually REMOVING "any" politician from office by recall election will be huge. Such an action is almost totally unheard of in American politics. Removal by impeachment has happened more often, and that not very frequently at all.
You can bet that every "anti-gun" politician other than the most rabid or those in absolutely safe districts are re-examining their public stances in a more "pro-gun" direction and will be voting accordingly.
And given that these two were "supposed" to be in districts safe for Democrats, even the most rabid cannot absolutely know that they are "safe".
It should also translate down to business and social association.
If you have elections for “whatever” Club and one of the candidates is a gun control nut then simply don’t vote for them.

Lions
Moose
Book Clubs
Chamber of Commerce
Church Boards
PTA
Republican Club
Democrat Club (we have a few here)
sport clubs (byclcle, running, swimming, soccer, baseball etc)
and so on...
those control nuts need to be shut out of ANY leadership position.
