University of Kansas officials criticized a journalism professor Thursday, saying remarks that he tweeted regarding Monday’s shootings at the Washington Navy Yard were “repugnant.”
David Guth tweeted Monday that “blood is on the hands” of the National Rifle Association following the shootings that left 13 people dead.
“Next time, let it be YOUR sons and daughters,” the tweet read. “Shame on you. May God damn you.”
On Thursday, Ann Brill, dean of the university’s journalism school, said Guth’s views “do not represent our school, and we do not advocate violence directed against any group or individuals.”
While the First Amendment allows anyone to express an opinion, Brill said, “that privilege is not absolute and must be balanced with the rights of others.”
Timothy C. Caboni, university vice chancellor for public affairs, called Guth’s tweet “repugnant,” adding that it was “truly disgraceful that these views were expressed in such a callous and uncaring way.”

They connected me to the chancellors number. The women who answered was very nice. I asked what was going to be done, she said she didn’t know, but that there had been many calls. My issue is what kind of garbage is he teaching his students. He is not fit to teach. Also, we have to get these radicals out of our colleges. She said she agreed, and thanked me for calling. She sounded sincere.

Yesterday I looked this Brill person up, and I could have guaranteed this less-than-slap-on-the-wrist response.
I found some professors who were very conservative Christians, in the English department no less. There are still a few left. I sat next to one at a luncheon yesterday. I was pretty much a liberal until the 1st Gulf War. My husband got me started watching Rush and here I am on freepers. We tell people we are recovering hippies. LOL
Aaa, heheh. U of MD. That helps explain his thinking. John Lott works there, but he’s the rare exception.

The hate and indoctrination powers of the left in our schools & media is not something we can take for-granted. Theses people are TRAINING the vast majority of all the people who control all commutation in this country & the world for decades to come.
Their army of fascist is the greatest threat to freedom and our way of life we have ever known. We must attach theses school officials and their programs vigorously! They must be under the microscope for what they are.
