Politics is complicated. Everything we learned in seventh grade civics was a lie. They taught us how government works on paper, not how it really works. I’m well informed. But I’m certain there’s a level of gamesmanship at the Congressional level where the seemingly obvious thing to do is not what you’d really want to do if you want to succeed. Realizing that, I’ve reached a point where I don’t believe anybody. I don’t trust anybody. I wish there was somebody I trusted in the know who I could read and understand what’s really going on. It’s not George Will, or Karl Rove or George Bush or even Ann Coulter. Everybody I once believed in has proven themselves to be RINO on one or more issues; enough that I don’t trust them. I’d go with Sarah Palin, but I don’t know that she’s taken a position on the internecine part of the Obamacare efforts. She’s simply said to defund it, which isn’t helpful when it comes to how to defund it.
Values are simple. Straightforward. Politics is a way of maintaining a government built on certain values.
Realizing that, Ive reached a point where I dont believe anybody. I dont trust anybody. I wish there was somebody I trusted ...
Aside from the Almighty, the only somebody you can trust is yourself, armed as you are with the leadership of the Almighty. That's the only way things have ever been, any time, any place.
The GOP Rove mind-set wanted me to vote for a politician (Romney) who personified the antithesis of every political and moral value I hold dear. I did my research. That alone is enough to tell the person I trust most that any trust in the likes of Rove is badly placed.
Rove is famous for saying: "Demography is destiny."
It is a dead give-away of the wrong values that guide Rove. Politics played by demographic "gamesmanship" devolve into divisiveness, manipulation, thievery, and tyranny based on categorizing free individuals into "interest" groups. In truth, demography is pretense.
The world over at all times in all societies: morality is destiny.
Romney lost because a moral people rejected him.
Huh? Palin was the first person of national stature to come out and slam the Obamacare Death Panels. She's been one of the most high profile, staunchest, and loudest opponents of Obamacare, since it was signed into law.
