I just don’t understand how Muslims can continue to commit atrocities and the world just keeps loving them.

Now that I think about it the same thing has happened over and over again, for instance Communists.

Are they afraid of them and not admitting it?

Progressives, mediots and atheists hate America more than they hate Islamists. It comes down to a matter of degree. If they can use the Islamists to do the bloody work, then so much the better, they believe.

There's a certain pattern in some of the comments on that news page. Certain "ALL RELIGION IS BAD!!!!!!!!" comments are there, and if no one's been cheating with the voting, these comments seem pretty popular.

What you mention in your post reminds me of such people's blind spots--if a Muslim does something bad, then it's Religion's Fault instead of anything in particular about Islam, and atheists (especially the State Atheists of communism) have never, ever committed atrocities in the name of their beliefs.

In March 1785, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams went to London to negotiate with Tripoli’s envoy, Ambassador Sidi Haji Abdrahaman (or Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja). When they inquired “concerning the ground of the pretensions to make war upon nations who had done them no injury”, the Muslim ambassador replied:

“It was written in their Koran, that all nations which had not acknowledged the Prophet were sinners, whom it was the right and duty of the faithful to plunder and enslave; and that every mussulman who was slain in this warfare was sure to go to paradise.”

March 1785......September 2013.

Where are all the “moderate” Muslims in condemning this act? Are they speaking out loudly against their brethren?
