In watching I now know what the “Closure” issue really means. I must say I have learned a lot, about what the “games” that are played in DC, really mean and how they affect the American Public.
1. Pass a bill that most people agree on...
2. Get a cloture vote with 60 votes
3. Propose an amendment that strips out everything but the title page and adds thousands of pages.
4. Pass this amendment with 51 DEM only votes.
5. Screw over the American people...

Bottom line... Makes no sense to vote for Cloture as it is presented, knowing that it will take only 51 votes to pass it.
In other words...The House passed a bill that fund the gov’t by defunding Obamacare. Let’s vote on Cloture for that...
But no, the bill before the Senate has been changed.
If the republicans stand firm...and they do not vote for cloture...then basically it is very clear... the govt will shut down until they vote for cloture of the original bill.
WHAT IS IT THAT MCCONNELL, AND THE REST, ARE THINKING ABOUT THIS? DO THEY NOT UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS THE STRATEGY... THIS IS PLAN...THIS A BRILLIANTLY LAYED OUT APPROACH.

Here in Tenn. we have a Beat Lamar! rally (previously scheduled) on Saturday. Joe Carr has announced and this will be the fifth rally across the state to examine his bona fides.
My first question for him will be to ask if he understand what Cruz and Lee are doing. When I called Lamar!’s local office today, the staffer was clueless. She tried to assure me that Lamar! was working to defund.
