In the 1950’s the question was, “Can the AEC make ballistic missiles practical?” The problem was miniaturization. A crude nuclear weapon is relatively simple to make. One that can fit on a missile (China thanks Clinton) is a lot tougher.

Perhaps Putin could lend some knowledgable engineers to his ally.

If NYT author James Risen has solid sources, the Iranians already possess a nuclear warhead design. Not only did the Loral deal under Clinton aid the Chi-coms, Operation Merlin delivered the design plans for a nuclear warhead to Iran.

The idea was to have a former Soviet nuclear scientist provide the Iranians with a faulty design to lead them down the wrong path. Problem was, the scientist double crossed the CIA and corrected the plans. All they require now is the raw material to assemble it. My money is on the Norks giving them the plutonium.

Wen Ho Lee, Loral, Operation Merlin, and heaven only knows how many more Charlie Foxtrots happened on Clinton's watch. I'd really like to know what Sandy Berger was trying to cover up with the documents he stole.

Please do not assume that because they are Muslim, they are idiots. If Iran builds a nuke, it won’t be crude. It will be as good as anything the Israelis have.

It is a bad thing to underestimate your opponent.
