I am very proud of our junior Senator from Texas (the other one, not so much)! It’s been years since I felt my views were being represented. Go Sen. Cruz!

It is a futile, misguided bit of showboating but it does feel a little like Jimmy Stewart in "
Mr. Smith Goes To Washington".
What Congress really needs is a fire hose enema.

I’ll second that, proud of my Senator. Need more in the Senate like Mr. Cruz.

Has anyone suggested to Cruz that he read the “Affordable” Care Act in its entirety for his filibuster? It would be the first time it has been.

We watched Sen. Cruz for at least 4 or 5 hrs. last night on the floor on CSpan, until we had to get sleep. I have to say I’m amazed and impressed with his abilities and proud to have voted for him as my Senator. Saw where the Dems got nervous and sent in some lackys to try and trip him up and got handed their hat and shown the door, lol. Go Ted!

I wonder what zero would read on the senate floor if he was fillibustering?

You used the word ‘misguided’, therby implying there is a better way.
Pray tell, what is that better way?

We have just allowed the Senate to modify the bill - do you trust them?
Attach the fight to the debt ceiling, not the continuing resolution.
We were able to force the sequester that way.

And those are the only troops we have sent to back him.
Must be how Davy Crockett and Jim Bowie felt when Colonel Fannin wussed out after Colonel Travis begged him for help.
How would you feel with McCain and Graham as your backup?

It is a futile, misguided bit of showboating...Huh??? First of all, conservatives are always complaining that there's no meaningful education about US traditions and law. This was living history, and a real fine display of how the Senate should run.
The 'pub ptb, the disgusting RINOs backstabbing a fellow Republican and the media just don't get it. Cruz is inspirational. Can you imagine Obama, Harry Reid, Mitch McConnell (etc) going 21 hours and keeping people enthralled...with a speech from the Senate floor?
Cruz provided a great service. The RINOs have been outed, with proof of their backstabbing, and they'll never see elected office again.
Cruz has a very intelligent, dedicated, passionate group coalescing around him With luck, they won't be compromised because they seem to have critical mass to attract others.

Problem is, for now he, is in a den of vipers.
But, do not doubt that don't I back him fully.
Our charge is to send him reinforcements.
