Aaron Alexis, the gunman who killed twelve people in Washington, D.C., last week, can be seen stalking the halls of the Navy Yard with a shotgun in gut-sinking security footage released today by the FBI. At a press conference, the agency shared the results of its investigation so far: The attack lasted from Alexiss arrival at the building at 7:53 a.m. until he was shot and killed by law enforcement at 9:25 a.m. His weapons included a Beretta handgun and a Remington 870 shotgun, altered with a sawed-off barrel and stock and etched with the previously reported phrases Better off this way! and My ELF weapon! as well as End to the torment! and Not what yall say!
Earlier speculation that Alexis believed he was the subject of mind control by extremely low frequency (ELF) waves has been corroborated by the FBI: There are multiple indicators that Alexis held a delusional belief that he was being controlled or influenced by extremely low frequency (ELF) electromagnetic waves. The etching of My ELF weapon! on the left side of the receiver of the Remington 870 shotgun is believed to reference these electromagnetic waves. In addition, a document retrieved from his electronic media stated, Ultra low frequency attack is what Ive been subject to for the last 3 months, and to be perfectly honest that is what has driven me to this. ELF technology was a legitimate program for naval sub-tonal submarine communications; however, conspiracy theories exist which misinterpret its application as the weaponization of remote neural frequencies for government monitoring and manipulation of unsuspecting citizens. He is believed to have acted alone.
Well, I was about to say that someone with a rifle should have just put him down .. however I’m forgetting that the rent-a-cops at this facility were not permitted to have ammo.
So that’s what an AR shotgun looks like. The large capacity magazine is not visible in the video.
So, it took an hour and a half to get someone there with a gun.
I keep waiting for the media to mention that Swineslime was braying on about AR-15, and maybe ask her about it, but I won’t hold my breath.
The good guys spent a lot of time on forcing locked doors and doing room-clearing, from what I heard. Some of the gunfire was from shotguns used for door breaching.
But yeah, the bad guy had about 90 minutes. We are lucky the toll isn’t higher.
I wonder what he used for shells?
The gunshop reported he purchased 00 buckshot.
That’s what happens when the Emergency Response Team is told to stand down, due to ego’s and rice bowl issues.
Amazing...every decent American needs to carry a weapon...period.
Ah, too bad. The kid who shot people outside Walmart in early summer had #6 or #7, and didn’t kill anyone.
It did not appear that the shotgun met the required overall length of > 26.5”. That is against the law.
If caught he would have been in trouble.

Either of those will do the job, you just have to be close.
How come we have not heard anything about the victims?
“ELF technology was a legitimate program for naval sub-tonal submarine communications; however, conspiracy theories exist which misinterpret its application as the weaponization of remote neural frequencies for government monitoring and manipulation of unsuspecting citizens.”
Well, what do you know? Instead of being a “government mind control assasssin”, as some around here like to speculate, he was one of those people who believe in the mind control assassin conspiracy theories floating around the internet. I hope the FReepers who believe in this stuff don’t get caught up in their own fantasies.
“I keep waiting for the media to mention that Swineslime was braying on about AR-15, and maybe ask her about it, but I wont hold my breath.”
Fineswine is a moron! She’s riding the wrong horse in the anti-gun race! Just think, with a standard mag, an AR-15 has twenty “bullets,” while an 870 with seven 3” magnum 00 Buck rounds in it has 84 “bullets” on board. And they “spread out” twelve at a time! She needs to switch to the shotgun as the evil black gun in her campaign! (sark) But hey, at 80, “she tells us that if only we knew what she knows, we’d all fall into line.” FWIW, at 80, she’s not long for this world either.
Well, there are other writings from him where he specifically talks about the extremely (or ultra) low frequency conspiracy crap, so yeah, we are pretty sure he’s not talking about animal rights groups or mystical woodland creatures.
Not everything is a conspiracy theory.
I was briefed on the capability to make enemy soldiers “hear” words or sounds using powerful RF weapons. I know for a fact that we tested the capability over 20 years ago.
However, if someone starts transmitting powerful RF outside of a DoD range, the FAA or FCC should notice right away.
There is a fun book out there by an EE titled, “How to Turn a Microwave Oven Into a Death Ray”. He rigged a broken 5 KW commercial microwave oven to shoot a beam out. He set plywood on fire at 500 feet. Not that I would want to be anywhere near such an experiment (backscatter and sidelobes).
Oh, sure, the government has experimented with so many things, it’s no real surprise if they come up with a few things that the conspiracy theorists thing they have. The problem is, the conspiracy buffs usually can’t really produce any evidence one way or another, and they build a false semblance of logic to get around that, which can end up justifying any theory at all.
Basically, if there is evidence to the contrary, then that was planted by “the conspiracy”. If they can’t find evidence to support their theory, it’s because “the conspiracy” is just that **** good at keeping secrets. No matter what the evidence says, there is a way for them to view it as confirmation of their theory.
It’s pretty much magical, deus ex machina type of thinking.
