I know a little bit about Louise Slaughter. She is a committed Marxist. Not just a fringe leftist, no, no: A committed, Karl-Marx-reading Trotskyite. Among other things, she has famously stated, when late-term abortion bans were being considered, that "Republicans came to Washington to kill women", and campaigned HARD for increased spending EVEN AFTER the S&P American Credit Downgrade.
That she and McCain are pals says a LOT about John McCain. Nothing we didn't already know, mind you -- but it's nice to have proof.
