BS anyone? Jesse WHO?
First thought. Is this drug cartle connected to the black Muslim street gang his half brother was a member of when he was convicted of the $500,000 drug deal to East Coast (near DC)?
Hope they do more then pat him down when he returns. If he returns!
What would he do, sue FARC for lack of diversity?
Farc you, Jesse and the horse you rode in on.
exchange Jesse Jackson for the prisoner.... FARC can have him!
FARC farts in this farcical forker’s direction!
I split my time between Colombia and Florida. Colombia has gone thru a transformation that’s amazing. A few yrs ago the people had had enough and took to the streets protesting FARC/violence. Massive displays. They elected a man, that many consider one of the greatest leaders of all time in the Western hemisphere..Uribe.
At that time Colombia had the people, Uribe and the help of the US all going after the drug cartels and FARC. Colombians won and Uribe publically thanked the US here and in Colombia.
Some may recall how Uribe was treated by the RATS when he came to the US....
Santos was elected to follow Uribe and maintained most of the policies of going after FARC....he has a delicate balance now...the 0bama gang naturally LOVES FARC, as do many in the EU. Add the fact Venezuela has missiles(from Iran)aimed at the major cities. If he goes after FARC to hard...he gets the balme by the US/EU press. If he goes soft the people of Colombia get mad.
A lot of Colombians worry that Santos is giving in...its the mood anyway, but in reality Santos now has very few allies outside of the country. He is trying to “balance” his approach in order to maintain peace and prosperity....not an easy chore at this time.
Currently the economy is booming in most areas of the country. Building is moving along at a pace that would make most countries dizzy. Companies are coming in from EU to service SA. One of the largest employers there is an American company that grows flowers and handles distribution worldwide. They are following Chile’s example of retirement/SS and free market capitalism. It works!
Of course there are problems like everywhere but nothing like it was in the bad old days.
Tourist are flocking there now, although not many Americans which is a shame. Its a great place to visit.
I’d love to see the headline:
World Rejects Jesse Jackson!
Peace talk? They are losing and they better han him over soon.
“Colombian president rejects Jesse Jackson Farc mediation”
Jeez, don’t they have an editor or spell checker? The word is ‘farce’.
