The Manhattan DA’s office won’t press charges against one of the motorcycle thugs who allegedly terrorized and beat a man after a wild chase on the West Side Highway, and is reluctant to prosecute another, sources said Wednesday. Allen Edwards, 43, of Queens, who allegedly smashed Alexian Lien’s rear driver’s side window with his fist, surrendered to cops Tuesday morning but will not be charged, the sources said.

Well, suv guy initially rear ended the MC, as MC slowed to a near stop...The SUV should have been able to avoid rear ending him because it appeared the point of initial impact was only about 10 MPH, based on the video.
That being said, it’s odd how the media and some people have these MC guys as being a vicious biker gang of murdering baby killers....lol
Granted, they might be AH’s pulling stunts on the road but it seems that would not excuse someone in a car from running them over, causing extremely serious injury.
IMO, I think after suv guy rear ended the MC, everyone stopped and there was probably some yelling at the suv driver and suv driver panicked and fled, literally running people over in the process.
Again, the video does not clearly depict what happened after the initial collision and stop.

Bikers were intent on instigating a conFRontation, and race may well have played a role — i.e., “Get the Chink.”

if I was in that SUV, surrounded by a large group and one of them just wanted me to get out to "talk"....I'd be flooring it too...not trying to back down or flea from a situation like that is insanity....he had a wife and a dtr to protect..
looks like the bikers were surrounding the vehicle...you can see one of them saying something or glaring or similar as they go by...and then a biker stops right in front of the vehicle...all the bikers stop...a white van drives around them...they’re all looking back at the vehicle surrounded by the bikers...then suddenly the vehicle takes off and is chases.....nobody here would not be driving like crazy to get away from this group....

OK, I have no problem amending my statement (which like yours is based only on internet reports) to read: “The dipshit biker who slowed down intentionally in front of the the SUV driver, got hit as a result of his stupid ass move and was uninjured in the process set this off.”
I’ve read your comment that you’re just having fun with this, but I’m having a bit of trouble with that, given your continued defense of the asshole bikers (like you’d be totally cool being swarmed like that) and the continued attacks on a guy driving with his wife and kid.
Why were the bikes blocking his exit in the first place (referencing the running over incident). The bikers intentionally blocked his exit it would appear, but no, you would be, what?, joining in with their exuberant celebrations? Sorry I call major BS on that.

I very respectfully suggest you see the whole video again.
The driver of the SUV was driving on a 3 lane highway when the video starts. He is doing nothing wrong, and there is very little traffic shown in the video, either in front of him, or in the area behind him. His SUV is virtually alone on this 3 lane road, with no weather issues.
He is soon surrounded by a SWARM of bikers. I do mean a SWARM. They might be speeding, as he is certainly not going slowly. They are weaving in & out & being a big distraction & their numbers & behavior appear to be very threatening.
One biker works his way into the left front of the SUV & then stops short- which is the first contact. The SUV driver stops because of this ‘accident’. Then bikers start to slash his tires while his SUV is stopped on the road.
He panics, and punches the accelerator, and goes over another biker who had stopped by the right front wheel of the SUV in a blocking maneuver.
He drove some distance & stopped again, and one biker yanked his driver’s door open-—IT SHOULD HAVE LOCKED BY THIS TIME, IMO.
The SUV driver accelerates again & swerves slightly left, as I think he is closing his door while driving.
THEN the pack of bikers chases him down again & he exits the Interstate & gets jammed up in traffic on streets.
AT THAT POINT, 2 bikers start to smash him left side vehicle windows with their helmets & gain access to him inside the SUV.
They drag him out of his car & beat him quite badly. The guy who is carrying a helmet cam either doesn’t tape this beating or the MSM isn’t showing that part.
I have seen still photos of the beaten SUV driver on the street, apparently out cold, and blood everywhere. Another pic shows his wife, standing behind the stopped car, holding their small child looking at him on the street. Why SHE got out of the car & didn’t GO SOMEWHERE SAFER, I don’t know.

He was attacked while driving virtually alone on the road, and a large number of very aggressive pople went after him. They played with fire, and someone got really hurt.
IF I were on that jury, IF they have the guts to file a civil case, I would NOT award a single penny to the bikers & I would turn the tables on him & demand that HE & HIS COHORTS pay the SUV driver & family about $50 million for what they did to that family.
This kind of Mob Rule has to stop.

Don’t know your age, but in my generation, this would be considered a criminal attack on an innocent motorist—no matter what his ethnic background was. I didn’t get the impression this man was a Chinese immigrant. He has a pretty high powered job & is quite successful in the USA.
IF this is your idea of “a bunch of Hispanics just having fun”—take a piece of advice. DO NOT bring that kind of behavior to Nevada, particularly Reno. You will be in jail and you may never see your bikes again, as this would all be considered ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON—Your bike!!! Tht bike would be confiscated.

Baby in a baby seat in the backseat. Baby maybe too young to know what’s going on. Wife probably in front. Even if in back with baby screaming, 911 takes priority.
I go cold and analytical in emergencies myself, and I don’t have much patience for women who can’t keep it together. Or the men, but they are fewer.
