I'm not so sure.
The story says this a similar bill to the one the Senate rejected.

“I’m not so sure. The story says this a similar bill to the one the Senate rejected.”
You may be right, if this is one of a number of individual funding bills that Mike Lee and Ted Cruz recommended that the House pass rather than an omnibus bill.
When I saw “D.C. government”, I assumed it was the District of Corruption national government, not the city government.

Is this Boener “blinking” or doing a direct shot across the bow of seeing if Reid will have his dims vote it down and/or bh0 veto it? Remember DC is a democratic fiefdom, and if the Senate Dems vote it down, they are pooping in their own nest.

They’re daring Reid and Obama to reject the bill. If they reject funding the DC govt, do they hate black people?

Why did they do this via voice vote? Better to have everyone on record on these votes to show that it is bipartisan and force the Senate’s hand.

This will corrects Obama’s screw up in closing DC to visitors and VETS. The Vets make a big ripple. We need another million motorcycle drive through and a million folks saying get rid of Obamacare.
