Senator Claire McCaskill (D., Mo.) said this morning that legislators present at the World War II memorial who didnt have veterans from their states present were merely playing politics.
Theres people here who have nothing to do, McCaskill said this morning at the World War II memorial in Washington, D.C. Theyre just trying to score a political point.
When asked by CNS News if they were attempting to grandstand, McCaskill answered that it appears that they are, but did not single out any legislators by name.
Earlier this morning, World War II veterans entered the memorial for the second time in as many days despite barricades and signs declaring the site closed. The veterans were flown to Washington, D.C. by Honor Flight, an organization that works to bring veterans to their memorials. Todays veterans included groups from Illinois, Michigan, and Missouri. McCaskill said she comes to the memorial regularly to meet veterans on Honor Flights from her state.
Lawmakers turned out both days at the memorial. Representative Steve King (R., Iowa) distracted a Park Police official yesterday so that veterans could enter and Representative Michele Bachmann (R., Minn.) was present yesterday and today. Senators Mark Kirk, (R., Ill.) and Roy Blunt (R., Mo.) were at the memorial this morning, as were Representatives Louie Gohmert (R., Texas) and Ann Wagner (R., Mo.).
The only political points that were tried to be scored was when this administration intentionally tried to inflict pain on veterans that served this country, Gohmert said when told of McCaskills remark. When asked why McCaskill would make that accusation, Gohmert responded, Well, in Texas we used to say that the guilty dog usually barks first.
What is she doing spouting off about it, if not playing politics? Shut up, Claire.
Where is that picture of Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer walking through the Tea Party crowd , with Nancy holding her big gavel and grinning like a skunk eating crap?
Nothing but political points.
Be careful what you say Clara, Louis Gomert will beTexas’s next Senator
when he lets the air out of Cornyn’s balloon in 2014. And you my dear will be demoted to the No Ways and No Means Committee.
Perhaps the younger veterans should help tear down these barricades to honor their older brothers in arms. These barricades are just White House grandstanding. Don’t think for a minute Michelle Obama’s staff has been sent home or the White House chef is now serving Ramen noodles and hot dogs.
Clue for McCaskill: everyone is playing politics in DC, especially The Oval Office Clown.
Another clue for the clueless: Barry-cading the WWII Memorial was "acting stupidly" of such an incredible magnitude that it literally begs to be exploited by your political opposition, so stop your whining.
No, her opponent wasn’t that bad. Too bad the good people of Missouri couldn’t allow him one mistake. Instead, they re-elected this POS. Sometimes we just have to overlook some things. Sure, he made a horrible mistake, but i have no doubts that he would have stood firm for conservative values.

In the backwash of Pennsylvania, its: “A RAT smells his own hole first.”
In this case, it be RATZ, but hey, 6 of one, half dozen of the other, who’s to quibble?
And I’m sure it didn’t help that the RNC threw him under the bus....
We love to eat our own! Sheesh.....
Hubby and I actually looked at Missouri recently as a place to retire. McCaskill has turned us from Missouri.
No greater gift to Conservatives than a ‘Rat with a microphone.
I think Harkin may have been there with King.
McCaskill does nothing but upload her Hilary Clinton fantasies on facebook.
The RNC would do well to chronicle the votes of redstate Democrats and project them on any Democrat Senate candidate. There is not a single moderate voting record there. Joe Manchin talks big in a state where Obama lost every county.
