Wall Street needs to be genuinely worried about what is going on in Washington, President Barack Obama told CNBC in a White House interview Wednesday.
While gridlock in D.C. is nothing new, "this time I think Wall Street should be concerned," Obama said.
"When you have a situation in which a faction is willing to default on U.S. obligations, then we are in trouble," Obama said

Barry's brain must have overloaded when the first day of the shutdown saw the market go UP!

Wall Street should be concerned - some folks are fighting for fiscal responsibility and that would entail all that non-existent “cash” that has been bolstering the Market to dry up. Reality bites...

Obozo’s buddy Warren Buffett came out this morning and said the shutdown is no big deal. I guess Warren values his money rather than his friendship.

I agree with you...managed to ignore his childish remarks until he made that statement yesterday...he HATES our country and is willing to ruin what’s left of our economy!
To: ClarenceThomasfan
Warren is watching the political winds start to shift. He sees that the liberals have gone to far. He is now trying to figure out which politician he needs to buy next for the president.
Obama is no longer any use to him. He can also see that they overplayed their hand with closing the various monuments. It does not look good on TV when 90 year old WWII veterans in wheelchairs are denied access to the WWII Memorial.
This is the same playbook they used in the Sequester. It did not work then and it will not work now. Shutting down White House tours made Obama look stupid. Shutting down National Parks is even worse.

Absofreakinlutely! My guess is that he placed a call to Warren Buffet and the Reverse Plunge Team to make this stop NOW!!!

Obama says Wall Street should be worried... They should've started worrying when the commie seized power on Jan 20, 2009, and gone into panic mode when it became clear he fancies himself a dictator. Of course a large portion of the firms contributed to the kenyan's campaign.

This man truly believes that he can get on TV and say anything because he has an army of believers who will soak it in.
"For example, one of the most important things Congress has to do in the next couple weeks is to raise what's called the debt ceiling. And it's important to understand what this is. This is a routine vote. Congress has taken this vote 45 times to raise the debt ceiling since Ronald Reagan took office. It does not cost taxpayers a single dime. It does not grow our deficits by a single dime. It does not authorize anybody to spend any new money whatsoever. All it does is authorize the Treasury to pay the bills on what Congress has already spent.
Think about that. If you buy a car and youve got a car note, you do not save money by not paying your car note. Youre just a deadbeat. If you buy a house, you dont save money by not authorizing yourself to pay the mortgage. Youre just going to be foreclosed on your home. Thats what this is about.
Are you serious? This is the man that is going to cure all of our problems? He cannot even make a good analogy! If you don't have the money to buy a car, you don't sign yourself on to DEBT THAT YOU CANNOT PAY BACK! Raising the debt ceiling simply allows Government to go furthur in the hole!
Now here is an accurate analogy - Raising the Debt Limit is like your credit card company increasing your credit limit an obscene level without ever really looking in to whether you would be able to pay it all back. And then when you reach your limit, your credit card increases it again!
And for Obama's point that "The last time Republicans even threatened this course of action -- many of you remember, back in 2011 -- our economy staggered, our credit rating was downgraded for the first time", the economy was ALREADY staggering AND credit companies didn't downgrade us because of the threatening of a shutdown, they downgraded us because THE PRESIDENT threatened to veto a bill with more expansive budget cuts!

Reminds me of when then Mayor Tom Bradley of Los Angeles came on drunk to the TV to express his shock people were not rioting yet (then the LA riots broke right out).
It's on Obama IMO.

They should be worried. Other than my own kids, I have not met a Millennial who was not at least open to the idea of giving Communism a try
I fear that you are correct. Also, I am seeing more and more millennial responses on forums of this nature, “Don't worry, their supporters/base (gun rights, pro-life, anything conservative) are going to die of old age soon anyway.”
They truly see us as an impediment that will be removed by disease and age. God help us if they ever believe that we're not dying off fast enough.

I guess we’ll see if Wall Street is his lapdog and does what he commands and tanks the market as a warning shot across the bow of the American public to accept Obamacare OR ELSE...........or ......they will ignore him like every other high up muckety muck and 3rd world tin-pot dictator.
