We need to get rid of the concept of Federally owned or managed land. Make it all private. The sales would go toward reducing debt.
They got all the states to give up their claims to anything west of certain lines...which the states did. It was beneficial to just a few "land barons".
And we need to realize that “federal ownership” of a park means that we own it.
They are groundskeepers.
My hiking down that trail is no different than my hiking a trail on my own property. There is no impact. That land did just fine with people walking on it here and there before it ever became OUR property.
