Pittsburgh hospital dresses newborn babies in Pirates onesies to celebrate ‘Bucco Babies’

St. Clair Hospital is dressing newborns in Pirates-themed onesies, complete with a mini bat and headbands, during Pittsburgh’s postseason run.

As long as the Pirates are in the playoffs, St. Clair Hospital in Pittsburgh will outfit newborns in Pirates onesies, Bucco bandanas and mini baseball bats.

They’re starting ‘em young in Pittsburgh.

With the Pirates in the playoffs for the first time in 21 years, St. Clair Hospital is wasting no time indoctrinating infants in the new, winning ways of the local ballclub.

The facility tweeted out photos of newborns clad in Pirates’ onesies, bandanas and mini baseball bats, a sign of support for a team that has endured decades of losing.

Pittsburghers are thrilled to have a team to root for now that the Steelers tanked.

Mr S and I each have several of those over our easy chairs. Too bad the Steelers stink this year.

But the Pirates! Go Buccos! Raise the Jolly Roger!

I too wish Cleveland had made the playoffs.

The Steelers are horrible. Ben is lousy without Hines Ward. I don’t blame Tomlin, the team lacks good young talent, IMO.

It’s a fine hospital. I had a knee replacement done there.

True. My father had his gallbadder taken out there too. He went in as my mother came out. My grandmother was treated there too, they got her out of a few scrapes until she passed away at 95.
