Note how he accidently dropped the magazine from his pistol at 34 seconds into the video, but retrieved it quickly and performed an immediate action drill to get the pistol back in action.

When I was a police officer, I was in a gun fight with an offender wherin my partner hit him in the torso 4 times with 12 GA 00 buck (Remington 870, cylinder bore) at a range of 15 yards. Most of the pellets struck him. I hit him 7 times in the torso with 5 rounds of 9 mm.

The perp continued to fire at us after this untill he ran out of ammo. He survived, albeit with massive life altering injuries, was adjudged not guilty by reason of insanity despite a lengthy violent felony record and commited to a mental institution.

I dont know of ANY .45 ACP round that has more inherent stopping power than 12 GA 00 buck at close range, to say nothing of MULTIPLE 9MM hits, but my Vietnam infantry combat experience taught me that determined adrenalized people are capable of sustaining MASSIVE trauma and maintaining an ability to fight. Whatever you are shooting, just keep putting the rounds on target untill the threat ends. Shot placement is critical, no matter the caliber.
