Don’t know where you’re getting your info from, all essential workers who were not furloughed and those who went back to work today, myself included, will not be receiving a paycheck until this issue is resolved. Once this is resolved we will receive back pay for the days we worked.
That’s the situation as of today.
Tomorrow, though? Who knows?
“Once this is resolved we will receive back pay for the days we worked.”
SeeBS says all days, including those you didn’t work: “a broad bipartisan majority in the House of Representatives passed a bill granting back pay to federal employees who have been furloughed during the shutdown.”
So either SEEBS is lying (which isn’t unlikely) or you are being disingenuous.

Beyond frustrating but I can understand it, although you’d think the finance office would be told what to do.
Harry Reid blocked back pay bill unless Senate Republicans agree to help him keep Dems from voting on the other House minibils.
Yes, you have to read between the lines LOL! This is CNN after all.
And what a ‘bizzaro world’ headline! It should win a prize, like ‘The Goodspeak Award”...

Civilian military workers that Hagel called back are a different matter- I think.
Hope you all can find some certainty!
