I can only assume that's a state by state thing. Wisconsin told the feds to keep there money when it come to closing state facilities over $701,000. Though the feds have banned hunting and fishing in National Forests, the DNR won't enforce that, and the feds are essentially not there. They might enforce the bans in wildlife refuges, but for what I don't know. There's no federal hunting or fishing license, Barry hasn't thought of that, and in most cases trespass will be difficult to enforce. For what it's worth, the Red River Gorge is open per their website. I haven't read of any states going along with this nonsense. It's boosting State Park revenue. Have a great time.
A 17% cut in federal spending is dramatic, but doesn't shut down government. And most people I talk to don't see the problem. Barry and Michelle haven't moved back to their dream home in Chicago, and won't be any time soon.
Cut the cuts by half, cut government by another 8% this year. We'll see how it works out, the golf course at Andrews will always be open.
