I’d much rather download the entire show in a single mp3 file. My Winamp player has an elapsed time indicator so it’s easy to jot down or remember where I left off if I’m unable to hear the entire show.

That is no problem with DAR. It goes automatically to the next segment.
Also, DAR keeps the program until you delete it. I often have 30 days worth of three different programs. Every few weeks I go and delete older files, as there is a limit.
Remember, your computer does not have to be on to record the program.
