I know that was rhetorical .
Holy Carp! Hope you had your hog leg handy!
Rush is missing a big part of the Obamacare debacle and it is the same part of Obamacare that members of Congress have missed. That part has nothing to do with insurance or personal costs, it is the rationing board.
What they are missing is that no matter how much insurance a person has or money to pay, you may not get past the rationing board if your doctor signs on to the government care guidelines.
Let me explain, less than two weeks ago my husband had a 3mm melanoma removed from his arm. The surgeon told us, when he stopped in to introduce himself on the day of the surgery, that there would be no follow up tests after the growth was removed because guidelines did not call for tests on any melanoma that was 3mm or less because government studies indicate that only 10% of those lesions metastasize. He said that you just have to wait and see if you get sick, unexplained weight loss, lethargy, mental confusion, head aches, that sort of thing.
We have plenty of insurance, double insurance, actually. My husband is still working with insurance from that company and also has retirement insurance from a company take over, all backed up with a health savings account, but no tests will be done.
This could happen to anyone, teachers with their gold plated health insurance policies, government workers, union members, anyone. It is not the insurance companies who are limiting the tests, its the doctors.
It was essential that soldiers who died in combat in Afghanistan be loaded on to rental trucks. It was essential that illegal aliens be granted access to a public park, while World War II Veterans were barred from the World War II memorial. It was essential for the NPS to arrest and Cite American Citizens and Viet Nam Veterans for entering places they had a right to be, and places that the Veterans paid for with their blood.
That 400 million dollars given to the CPB would have gone a long way to paying to keep our national monuments open and paying death and burial benefits to our precious military fallen. But you just go ahead Boehner and the other elitist spineless bastards who lead the GOP. Keep funding this filth. It's only the nation at stake. COWARDS! PTUH!
The stock market is a reaction to Obamacare. The rise is due to people wanting to invest in stocks tht fell to a buyable level.
oh hell yeah...and dancing
bout 5 of us all front and center....we looked like a scene from Kelly’s Heros
I know a typical Democrat supporter, now that he’s argued why the Democrats were going to improve the economy and the actual result is Democrats made things worse, he’s saying all politicians are the same, yet he never has, nor ever will vote Republican, and he says Cruz is crazy, so what I meant in that post wasn’t entirely rhetorical;
There are folks who will oppose the people who are standing up for the freedom and liberty outlined in the US Constitution, and I’d include some in the Republican establishment, starting with TARP and the last debt ceiling increase, cash for clunkers, underwater mortgage Freddie/Fannie.
Don’t dismiss ANYTHING then, if he feels anything different.
and that ‘400 million dollars to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting’ gone to advertisements for the Democrat’s government utopia’s.
I have a question:
The president unilaterally decided that the law passed by Congress and signed into law by him, Obamacare, need not apply to big businesses and union for a certain time.
As a Citizen, I was not treated equally by the President’s dictatorial action.
I am aware that a law can be unconstitutional if it does not treat people differently, unless it has some sort of compelling governmental interest.
So, as an individual who did not receive the delays to the imposition of Obamacare mandates, am I being treated unequally, such that I could sue to have the application of the law declared unconstitutional?
Could I also claim that the effort in and of itself, was unconstitutional since there is no authority for a president to change a statute?
I don’t know if it is true, but are Muslims exempt for the law?
Are illegal aliens exempt from the law?
Are unions exempt from the law?
Is Congress exempt from the law?
How does one pursue a case like that, and who would have standing? When do I get to claim that I am being singled out?
Disparate treatment is not permitted for race, sexual preference, national origin, religious belief, etc. What is the grounds for not treating me like the others?
Why can a President unilaterally single me out for unequal treatment.
I demand due process - substantive and procedural due process.
I know, I speak into the wind...
Those kind of people are hopeless. When I deal with those morons, I tell them the famous Dick Cheney quote, GFY!” And I explain that I will never discuss politics with them again, and while we remain friends, the next comment about politics will be, “I told you so...now GFY!”
I know that, but the sudden drop of the past few days has been in spite of that.
Honered, I’d like to share it to the folks who inform and enlighten me, those at FreeRepublic, God, Rush.
