it does not sound like any passengers stepped in during this incident... i feel sick... i always only fly Southwest... and i fly out of into smaller airports... but i just booked a flight from San Fran to Charlotte, NC on US Airways... for this Sunday... i want to cancel...

Don't cancel. Odds are with you for a safe flight. Just pick another departure airport. SF is the WORST airport to travel through. You WILL be delayed.

Any dry run should have the pilot immediately put that plane down at the nearest airfield with the National Guard / Cops / NRA called out.
Frog march the jerks off the plane and make them disappear down a rat hole. The rack should be back in style for these guys.

there is no other one... i always fly out of San Jose, which is nice and small, but also International... however, there were no affordable flights from SJ to Fayetteville, NC... normally i fly into Raleigh Durham, but i didn’t have anyone who could pick me up (it’s an hour and 20 from Fayetteville)... next time i won’t care... i am flying Southwest out of Raleigh to SJ and SJ to Raleigh... i don’t care how much it costs... and i will find a ride somehow...
In 2002 I was booked on a flight from DC to New Orleans the day the first post-9/11 Super Bowl was to be played there. I was concerned till I got on the plane and saw a crowd of “Good Ole Boys” from LA, heading home from a Mardi Gras ball. There was no way that group would have let anyone take control of that flight.

On September 9th, 2013 I was on US Airways Flight 2095 out of Newark Headed to Sarasota Fl with a stop in Charlotte NC. I was in seat 6B, seated directly in front of me were two Arab males, they were about 22 years old and 26 years old, the one seated to my left spent the whole time of the flight, about 1 hour and 15 minutes, making diagrams of the cabin, making note of where the drink cart was kept and notes on the activity of the flight attendants. The flight attendants (all women) appeared to be alerted about the two Arab males and kept close tabs on them. The Two Arab males spoke no English during the flight, they both had on NY Yankee baseball caps and wore black t-shirts and jeans and the older Arab male made frequent trips to the bathroom. Upon arrival in Charlotte the Two Arab males made a quick departure and I followed then as they headed for their connecting flight which appeared to be to Fort Lauderdale Fl.

Yep. The notion that this is a "dry run" for an actual attack is ridiculous, for at least two reasons:
1. The terrorists know, just like everybody else, that the 9-11 attack depended to passenger inaction (which was a rational response when hijacking meant "some clown wants a soapbox and a free ride to Cuba"). Thus, it's a trick that only works once.2. Attempts to probe defenses would be done much more quietly, to avoid letting defenders know that you're doing it.

I’m suprised there wasn’t a practice terrorist beatdown by the passengers.
I fly all the time, and while having the guy puke on me last night was quite special, one thing I don’t worry about is someone hijacking the plane.
The cockpit doors will slow someone down long enough for the passengers to do something. They might knife someone but they aren’t getting into the cockpit.
Oh and they could probably easily sneak weapons or a bomb on the plane but I didn’t want to post that because the NSA is watching. FUNSA go catch a terrorist.
