They're already playing the race card in Detroit, saying why don't whites get the same sentences? And Kwame got 28 years because he's black.

Personally, I think he should have gotten 40 yrs. After the lengthy proclamation of all of his offenses (particularly RICO) by the judge, I thought she'd give him at least the minimum - which was 30 yrs.

I am hardly a defender of Kwame, as I think he is a very corrupt dude.

That said, I can understand why blacks might feel it is wrong for Kwame to get 28 years for Detroit corruption.

I could talk for weeks about Chicago corruption, and how ANYONE connected to the Daley / Dead Fish machine should probably be doing 50+ years a piece.

And let's not forget about the Enron scumbags... Andrew Fastow and that wife of his in particular.

They should have all gotten life sentences for what they did, but they are out on the streets free as birds, and even picking up public speaking gigs at universities to discuss "business ethics."
