Obama told 25 governors on a conference call that the shutdown "is hurting local economies."
President Obama hit Congressional Republicans on Friday telling a bipartisan group of governors that the "brinksmanship strategy" of shutting down the government and threatening default is something "the country can't afford."
Obama made the comments to 25 governors on a conference call aimed at discussing the effect of the federal shutdown on state budgets and the overall economy, according to a White House readout of the call.......
Obama was joined on the call by senior adviser Valerie Jarrett, NEC Director Gene Sperling, Deputy Office of Management and Budget Director Brian Deese and Office of Intergovernmental Affairs Director David Agnew....

A list of governors has Democrats holding 19 states, so I guess the rest would be D.C. and some of our territories Puerto Rico, Guam, etc. to bring the number to 25.
The real president “ Valerie” finally shows her face.
What representative right does an unelected, unappointed person have
to be discussing anything of consequence with governors.
Oh I forgot, this isn’t Bush, so the MSM won’t ask that question....
That was not even half of our 57 states.

BS the aim is to try to get them to back he and Valerie Jarrett in their aims to destroy America with this Obamacare farce. The Governors already know the effect on their States.
Just another lie.
Right.... [but shhhhhh.....that would make the president sound like a moron and we all know that he is a constitutional scholar....]
I imagine they were getting marching orders from Jarrett to make their state populations suffer as much as possible - bleed for Obama.
Smells like COMMUNISM without protecting the BORDER.
valarie jarret the enemy within
In the 1990's, Bill Clinton was pressured by the GOP to moderate his policies...and the Left despised him for it. So, the Democrat party has tried to get "true believers" to run for President. The problem with Algore and Lurch Kerry is that they were ugly, stupid white guys (how else could George W. Bush get elected twice?).
So, in 2007, they raised up a "Chauncey Gardiner", a pretty black man who would be hard to mock. B. Hussein was trained to speak in soothing, low-volume tones (despite his rearing as a loudmouthed Marxist agitator), had his past wiped out, and had no actual record for anyone to run against.
I really believe that Valerie Jarrett is the de-facto President of the U.S.? This would explain why World War II vets, regular Americans, and visitors to National Parks get hassled while Illegal Aliens can come and go on the Mall.
In a way, I believe we're being too hard on Obama. It's true that he's President and all responsibility goes to him, but I don't think he has the basic thinking skills needed to even conjure up some of the stupid things he's done in office. I think he's always told what to do, and has been trained enough to stay on topic (and teleprompter). If you notice, whenever he starts feeling his oats (going off what Jarrett, Reid, and Pelosi tell him what to say or do) is when he steps on his crank.
P.S. I do believe that President Hussein Obama believes in everything he's been doing. It's just that he doesn't have the mental capacity (or physical endurance) to actually carry it out. That's why he's always going on vacations, and partying, and shows inappropriate emotions at the wrong times.
Funny, I just used a sinking ship example for what happens if we don’t extend the debt ceiling.
Adults negotiate and get to port to repair the ship or the captain commits suicide and everyone runs for the life boats. (see post #15 http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3077979/posts?page=15#15 )
I guess we know what the Captain has decided to do.
I see it about the same way. And do not forget Eric Holder (U.S. Attorney General] and John P. Holdren [President’s Science and Technology Adviser] in your de-factor presidency calculation [I know there are many travelers lined up to do their best to destabilize the country - level the playing field and make the world “safe” from us, but those 2 have been there from day of this administration and have a track record].
Thanks - I should have been more diligent.
The crap they get away with. They shut down the government then tell how bad it is to be shutting down the government then blame someone else for shutting down the government.
I know the media carries their water for them but the republicans don’t help their cause when they allow themselves to be bitch slapped without responding.
And she was reminding them of the NSA. Dirty people who don’t know the dirt someone has on them will jump through hoops. She’ll say something like “Man, I heard some things about you.”
Many have responded.
I didn’t think of Holder. Thanks. I would add Bill Ayres (the man who tried to murder Army Sergeants, but his buddies were too stupid to make a bomb), David Plouffe, and David Axlerod, but I don’t think they’re in the day-to-day programming of what President Hussein Obama says and does.
Obama presumes he knows as much or more about the states economic well being as the governors.
They know, even if they will not admit it, that Obama is every governor’s worst problem
