" ‘Obamacare Has Raped My Future’, Viral Letter From College Student

A University of Michigan graduate penned an open letter that went viral online as she described how President Barack Obama’s signature health care law hurts the working poor, and has “raped” her future.

Ashley Dionne, 26, posted the now-viral letter to conservative radio host Dennis Prager’s Facebook page earlier this week.

Here is the letter:

“My name is Ashley Dionne and I’m a 26-year-old recent graduate from Michigan.

The phony Obamacare signup poster boy made me want to send a message about how Obamacare is really affecting people.

I graduated from The University of Michigan in 2009. In my state, this used to mean something, but even with a bachelor’s I was told I was too educated and wouldn’t stay. I watched as kids with GEDs and high school diploma’s took the low-paying jobs for which I applied.

I went back to school and got a second degree and finally found work at a gym. I work nights and only get 32 hours a week for eight dollars an hour. I’m unable to find a second job at this time.

I have asthma, ulcers, and mild cerebral palsy. Obamacare takes my monthly rate from $75 a month for full coverage on my “Young Adult Plan,” to $319 a month. After $6,000 in deductibles, of course.

Liberals claimed this law would help the poor. I am the poor

believe it or not, not all College students are liberals. I knew and was part of several conservative groups during my college and grad school years and the groups weren’t that small either.

I know an insurance agent who comes up here for vacation time, he runs his own business in Ohio. He says they'll be out of business in a few short years, that private insurance companies will all fold because of this law.

The wilding has just begun, and we still have people in the GOP consultant class that think we should sit back and do nothing..........

my view is that the ones in college are and the ones refusing (a huge swath of the kids that age have the resources but are refusing to attend because of the poor quality of the “professors”) are the conservatives.

The REAL nuke no one is talking about is the premiums, deductables, and co-pays to kick in for year 2, then year 3. Where in the law is there anything that indicates once the "hook is set" this year they don't use the barbed gaff to yank you in the rest of the way.

A $6000 deductable is in reality a $500 a month premium in itself on top of the existing premium. (6000/12=500)

We have a window of opportunity to do great damage to the amnesty push. While people are in shock over what Obamacare has done to their health costs they will be receptive to discussion of how much more it will soon cost. They should be reminded that those costs will be greatly increased with tens of millions of illegals granted amnesty and added to the rolls of freeloading ObamaCare recipients.
