“In all fairness, freeloading is the only profession available to most young people today.”
One problem this will run into is that while young people apparently are willing to concede families and homes due to economics, they’re not going to give up new cars and tattoos. There is little incentive for young people (fortunate enough to have jobs) to give away more of their income to this “tax”, and the Dems risk a lot by forcing the issue. They are a self-centered generation (hence foregoing a next generation), but if it becomes too obvious that someone else has their hands in their paychecks their general apathy will quickly disappear.

That's it in a nutshell. And you know what else? Pissing off their childish lib base would be bad enough but the rest of us will become the Democrat's worst nightmare. I'm 28 with no family and generally nothing in my life. The only thing I have going for me is a gradual increase in salary and the prospect of maybe meeting a woman in grad school. If the Democrats take away my hard earned money and destroy any prospect of me raising a family one day...well...then there will be only one thing left to live for. You can probably fill in that blank because I can't type it online.
