The Power of Makeup

I saw that,up close and personal,during my first visit to China in 1980.I couldn't believe what I was seeing....a little old lady (she was at least 80) with horrendously deformed feet who could barely walk.

The flip side of that coin is that one wouldn’t start trying to get them one’s into bed until they knew us one’s well enough to know better.

I wear make up, my husband shaves his face.
I see NO difference! If he didn’t shave he would look like a wild man. If I didn’t wear make up I would look like a wild woman! LOL
Maybe I grew up in a different time but IMHO a little bit of make-up only enhances a gal’s beauty. Granted.... my Mom taught me that a new lipstick is something to be cherished! It has nothing to do with my self worth or self esteem. I just prefer some base, a little mascara and some lip gloss. So Sunky... I am not giving up my new mauve lipstick until you pry it from my dead fingertips.
I love that quote! (I am almost 63!) Actually my husband is LUCKY if I put on make up or fix my hair. I am just too old to care! I work hard, I have been regrouting all the porcelain tile floors in our house, I don’t look so pretty while working so hard LOL
Bingo. Best assessment.
Paint never hurt the old barn and goes a long way to protecting and preserving the wood. There is nothing wrong with looking your best.

Put lipstick on a pig and you have a pig with lipstick.
Look at women like Natalie Portman, Keira Knightley or Cameron Diaz. They’re all pretty ugly looking off screen with no makeup.
While Katie Holmes, Penelope Cruz and some others look great without make up.
Then there is Monica Bellucci. They could roll her in tar and sand and I would still let her eat crackers in my bed.

The one on the left with a smile would ace the one on the right. An ugly duckling like me wouldn’t even bother to talk to the woman on the right, she’s so obviously artificial and probably has a bad ‘tude.
Rule 1 - Ladies do what they damn well please.
Rule 2 - If you happen to think, wish, or desire to make them do otherwise, see Rule 1.
That's just as true if you're a feminist finger-shaker or some sort of self-proclaimed guardian of the public morality. You're free to believe otherwise, but you're likely to be disappointed.
Notice I wrote "you" and not "I". Pure conjecture on my part, of course.
