today the American people have officially been rendered unto servitude for and by the establishment elites. But until they kill those of us who love this country and what it used to stand for and we are willing to continue to resist, we have not lost. The republican party is toast.

Cruz is an inspiring speaker but a disaster as a strategist. He needs a smarter thinker to advise him on which moves to make. The shutdown has been a huge loss for the Republicans. We need to do better.

You are mistaken in blaming Cruz because the Dems wanted this shutdown. They were never going to accept any deal before now. You anger should be directed at them and not the few patriots who stood their ground and spoke truth to power.

You don’t get it, do you? The new trillion dollars the Dems have now will be used to pay for Obamacare next year even if no one signs-up for it. It will become a mandate. Oooo! Free healthcare! And the Republicans wanted us to die!

Sadly, I think the American Republic is essentially dead, as is the GOP. When America is in REAL financial straights in 10-20 years, the Conservative Party will be reborn and voted in to get us out of the mess we have created. I hope to live long enough to see the Republic restored.
Individual mandate kicks in in January, so everyone is affected, one way or another. Along with automatic sequester cuts.

It's not going to happen that fast, but this is going to happen eventually.
By Obama "deeming" congress and certain favored groups exempt status, he's making up laws himself, and violating "equal protection of the law".
Not to mention creating his OWN laws without congress.
So it's only a matter of WHEN Obama gets spanked by SCOTUS.
Probably not in the next couple of years, sadly.
The Vitter amendment never passed, was never included in any measure.
