The shutdown is basically over and the President has won....
But there are caveats to that narrative. First, the Republicans aren't the only ones who ought to hang their heads in shame. It was the Democrat-controlled Senate that first rejected the House's bill and so sparked the crisis. It was the President who refused to talk to anyone about it (and went campaigning instead). It was the federal government – even when in shutdown – that behaved like a spoiled child...
what has Obama really won? He keeps his precious healthcare reform and he gets government open again – but tomorrow morning he'll still have the same gridlocked political system that he had the night before. The shutdown is a rare example of him winning, but remember that this lame duck president has not only had a very simple (and, frankly, inoffensive) gun control bill killed in the Senate but was so spooked by bad poll numbers that he tried to dump responsibility for military action in Syria onto the Congress – before quietly dropping the idea altogether. Any thought that the shutdown payoff will be that he can sail an immigration reform package comfortably through Congress is pure fantasy. This is a broken presidency living out its last few years either holding off Republican attacks or lazily cruising the country on some pointless, endless, fatuous campaign trail. Obama's administration is politically bankrupt.

The Clown is getting a lot more blame than is being reported, and it is, I think, being imbued upon not only him but also his fascist party.

There is one thing this “shutdown” accomplished and can never be reversed. The country now knows that Obama is a mean, ugly, vile man. He is a sick petulant narcissist and people are coming to understand just what that means.
the PUB establishment did nothing to tell the sheeple about this....they should have bought tons of air time....

He has done more to promote the left’s influence on our nation than Clinton and LBJ combined.
That's why he's a lame duck. He tried to destroy the GOP. He can't be trusted (EVERYONE knows that now) so there will be no more negotiations with him.
By the way, here's what the President will say, "We must now come together and negotiate ...yada yada yada ..."

Obama got one major piece of legislation through to promote the left...O-care.
Since then he's been unable to advance much. We got a large cut in Gov't growth, we blocked gun control and cap and trade, we got the Bush cuts made permanent for 99% and the next debt limit will now still be in the news for the next couple months since the next deadline is 2 months away...not the year extension that Reid wanted.
Everybody knows Obama is failing bigtime in foreign affairs. In addition, Obamacare is not working and Obama has to figure out how to fund it since no one is signing up.
Of course the MSM is busy trying to make it seem like Obama is winning all fights....the opposite is true. He's very weak and dropping in polls.
Americans don't know any such thing. Most people, especially the low information voters, blame Republicans for the shutdown the sequestration before this, even though the Obama Administration orchestrated both crisis.
The Democrats have gone from "not letting a good crisis go to waste", to creating a crisis and setting Republicans up to take the fall for what the Democrats are responsible for and the Republicans and the American people are more then willing to lay down and let this Administration get away with EVERYTHING.
I don't know what it's going to take to wake folks up but if the American people don't pull their collective heads out of their collective behinds soon, we will have gone past the point of no return.
With this win he instantly Federalized 1/6th of the American economy and created a police state with IRS "enforcers." He and his Flying Monkeys in the Senate have nearly nullified the spending authority of the House. His SCOTUS toady John Roberts has given him the awesome power to unilaterally decide what Americans must buy.
Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?
he won the purse strings away from the house, again. their only biggest main power.
he won no balls boner violating the hastert rule, again.
he won the argument that paying bills by raising debt ceiling is legitimate even tough no one called him for opposing the same argument as a senator under Bush.
given boner’s latest kabuki performance, he’s going to destroy them on immigration so hard, we’ll have to call boner “frenchy”.
Great leaders understand the concept of negotiating to a "win-win" solution. That is to say, they seek mutually beneficial solutions that allow all parties to prosper.
Small men, ideologues and low level purchasing managers see negotiations as a zero sum game where one party wins and the other party loses.
Obama is an ideologue and a small, vindictive man. He sees governing as a zero sum game, and America is a much worse place because of it.
You do realize that the MSM and the GOPe has made sure that the Conservatives and Tea Party are to blame.
Most Americans have no where near the awareness of the average Freeper.
