Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.

If it wasn’t for faith in God, I’d be a mess right about now.

Thank you for the reminder.

From Radio Bible Class ...

“O Lord, I praise You, and thank You that Your mercy is everlasting. Help me to remember that every battle in this life is Yours. The outcome belongs to You, for You are sovereign.” Amen ...

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?......Psalm 27:1

When the wicked come before me,, even my enemy, come to make me, stumble and fall.....

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?......Psalm 27:1

my personal favorite to keep things in perspective:

Isaiah 40:

23 He brings princes to naught
and reduces the rulers of this world to nothing.
24 No sooner are they planted,
no sooner are they sown,
no sooner do they take root in the ground,
than he blows on them and they wither,
and a whirlwind sweeps them away like chaff.

Thanks for posting this text, ReaganÜberAlles.    Like several other posters have already said here, this text provides a significant solace on this depressing day of betrayal and infamy, and I appreciate your pointing it out for us.

You might be interested (like I was) in checking to see the way some of the other English Bible translations word that same text in slightly different variations, as shown here.

Thank you for this post.

I’ll sleep better tonight, but will say a prayer to the Father for more patience.

So do not be afraid of them,
for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed,
or hidden that will not be made known.
