So the Senate has reached a deal, and the House GOP leadership will reportedly allow a vote on it, meaning this crisis is probably over. For now, anyway. How long until Republicans put us through all of this again?
It’s easy to make fun of GOP Rep. Peter King, but he was one of the few to call out GOP insanity from the inside early in this process. Now, in an interesting and entertaining interview with Capital New York, he’s calling for Republicans to wage war on Ted Cruz. King predicts the Texas Senator will try do this all again in a few months, and crucially, he points out that it’s on the non-crazy Republicans to prevent this from happening:
“He’s going to be coming back, rewriting history, saying, ‘We were on the verge of victory back in October, and we could have won if we’d just stayed in there another week.’ And he’s going to have phone calls being made, and he’s going to have town hall meetings. And he’s going to have all those support groups out there, threatening to downgrade people on their scorecards and all that stuff.” [...]
“I think it’s important for people in the Republican Party around the country not to just come in at the end and say, ‘Congress was dysfunctional,’ or ‘Congress screwed up.’ That’s too easy to do,” King said. “Say who it was. Because it wasn’t Congress. it was one person who was able to steamroll Congress and unless we target him for what he is, he’s going to do it again. So I’m hoping other Republicans will join me and start going after this guy, and say we’re not going to let it happen again.”
Oy. Yes, this is exactly what Cruz is going to do....

The left is doing the Saul Alinksy tactic on Cruz..they get everyone in the media to call him a nut, they are trying to marginalize him..so that no matter what Cruz says or does, they will have their cronies in the media call him insane..its coming from the left, and some on the right..but Ted Cruz is a strong man, he knows what is going on here and he will fight through it..the left and the right are showing everyone who they fear the most..they are terrified of Ted Cruz because he speaks the truth and they cant stand it
Ted has all the time in the world and he has made Obama look harried.
Fifteen years ago he was bitching because Southerners held all the leadership positions. Among other things he is a Yankee who thinks that means he has the right to spit on anyone and anything not from the Bowash.
If only some of these would listen and learn from him.
What we have to do is try to save the Republican party..we need more Ted Cruz’s in the party and we need to throw out the likes of McConnell, McCain, and King..it wont be easy, but it can be done..in order to save this country from a socialist rat hole, unfortunately many are going to have to suffer through it, that is how socialism dies, by people suffering through its consequences, once that happens this country can truly be saved..Ted Cruz is my hero, he stands up for me and for what is right..the more the leftist and elitist progressive RINOS in our party trash him, the more I adore him for standing up for our freedom

Cruz is their nightmare: Richard Nixon without the paranoia, Huey Long without the dishonesty. In fact he is the smartest guy to go to the Senate since Huey Long. Long started out looking like a country bumpkin, but by end of summer, 1935, he had become as smooth as any city slicker. Which was why FDR was afraid of him.
We need to take over the Republican party before they merge and become the Dem party..its already happening..there are many good Republicans out there..they are the ones being bashed by the “RINOS” in our party, and they are not even RINOS, they are progressives..I remember years ago Glenn Beck warning everyone that it was going to happen, that the GOP was going to be taken over by the progressives in the party and I didnt believe him, Im seeing it now..either we the people save the GOP or there wont be a party left worth saving
The Smart People who Went to Harvard like Bill O’Reilly say Ted Cruz is just doing this to raise his profile so he can run for President.
Although I don’t like their snarky attitude, I hope they are right!
