DALLAS Footage from a surveillance camera pointed at the street where officers shot a mentally ill man in the abdomen earlier this week shows the man never walked toward police nor raised a knife to them, disputing a police officers narrative provided in a sworn affidavit.

Should cops point a firearm at you can you shoot them?
Lying scum balls! The guy was standing still. He didn’t move or lift an arm. Then the cop shot him. That’s pretty cold.

I am starting to wonder about the quality of the officers that they seem to be hiring any more. They seem a bit “trigger happy”.
They're generally wearing body armor, so you need to go for something other than center-mass.
Bump!
Always shoot for the eyes or mouth when body armor is suspected.
It's a stark realization that in these times, you probably should shoot them first. Not that you might survive, but that at least you'll take them down when you go down. If you need to think whether to shoot, it may be too late. And certainly too late if you're not aiming at them when you need to decide. Otherwise, you're hoping all the cops pointing at you are nice. Note I said all, as it only takes one bad one to ruin your life. Darn, these are some crazy times for our country.
That's why the usual formulation is, "Between the eyes".
There is zero difference in the quality of officers hired today as relates to the quality of officers hired fifty years ago.
The difference is the ubiquitous video recording.
He should have stayed in the truck
It wasn't his truck. He was just out in the cul-de-sac wandering around. Truck belongs to the guy taking the video.
