Man, I could write a book in answer to what you replied. Some of it has been done. Paul Star, “The Social Transformation of American Medicine”. Published 1978. Excellent book and great starting point. Being an MD I don’t face all the problems you do and my HDL is usually in the 70s while my LDL and TG are usually in the 50s I do feel for you. OTOH statins can cause serious problems and I have seen folks permanently damaged by them (not by me, thank God). I have been telling folks for years what is coming is collapse of our medical system and cash for services. As bad as it sounds it will actually be a good thing.

Interesting, especially coming from a doctor. I agree that if everyone paid for their medical services, there would certainly be some good results. I think, for example, that the amount America spends on medical costs would shrink by 50% or more.
