Bills Grizz photo P1000343.jpg Thanks Rooster. My nephew is a PJ in Alaska Air Guard. He came up to Alaska when he was young and told me he was moving up here soon as he could and I'm so glad I got some relatives here. Between his deployments he hunts with us. Has had a stroke of luck too. Has killed moose, mnt goats, caribou, a few blk bear and now an interior grizz. Also got awarded a silver star & two bronze stars over the last 3 deployments (you should read the award citation, make ya proud); no joke, the boy has big balls and is for real and a natural born hunter/killer and raised Repub & patriotic American.

so anyway, we were road hunting and came off our summit and he yells bear, jumps out with my 308 Scar, bear is movin out like fire up the mountain,250-300 yards, he shoots, and I yell you got 15 A-FRames & TTSXs in there keep shootin. He hit the bear 3rd or 4th shot , bear faltered then dropped within 30 yards. Made his day, just look at the grin on his face, says it all. Our interior grizz average 400 lbs, not the food here there is near the coast, but they can kill ya just as quick. Anyday you kill one of the those moose eatin machines, it's a very good day; we have too many bear where I call home. We live where the Yukon comes in from Canada.

The SCar is a good gun. I like the new style pistons, you can shoot 100's of rounds between cleaning, unlike old style pistons. Scar is very light, nice to shoot on the fly from snowmachine or ATV.

Anyway, hope you enjoy the grizz pict.
