A graphic design company out of San Francisco, 99designs, challenged people to come up with a new name and logo for the Washington Redskins. Over 1,887 designs were submitted from 347 designers all over the country on their online contest.

I would think the obvious answer is the “Beltway Bandits”.
But, the liberals have decided that we are supposed to be offended by Indian nicknames. The liberals have decided that Redskins is offensive.
It doesn’t matter if real Indians are offended or not. Liberals have decided we SHOULD BE offended, so they have decided to push this issue again and again.
And the liberal media, including some sportscasters as Bob Costas, have jumped on this band wagon, and are pushing this. If you thought sports were somewhere you could catch a break from liberalism, you are mistaken.

Well, it all lands in the lap of the owners of the Redskins’ franchise.
It might help the owners, if a lot of people start sending them emails and letters, etc. letting them know you don’t want the name changed.
If the owners cave to the Costas’ opinion, there probably isn’t much you can do .. except not attend the games, or start a boycott of the games. Or, start a boycott of advertisers of the games.
I guess it all boils down to the will of the public .. how upset are they over a name change .. and are they willing to put their money where their mouth is.
And .. who hired the “Design” company .. the owners ..?? Or the people who are raising a stink about the name ..?? If this Design company just appointed themselves .. in support of the left’s position .. it’s probably time to find out who runs the Design company and/or who on the left is supporting that company.

There’s an opportunity here for mutual advantage.
The Piscataway Indian Nation and Tayac Territory, the Piscataway Conoy Tribe of Maryland, and the Cedarville Band of Piscataway Indians, are the native Indians in Maryland, and are recognized by the state, but not the federal government.
I bet that if the owner of the Redskins got together with the leaders of these Indian tribes, and copyrighted the heck out of their tribal symbols and appearance, the tribes could own the copyrights and lease them to the team.
The tribes would love it, because they would get royalties, get a huge boost in popularity, and maybe even eventually get federal recognition. The team would love it, because they could tell the haters to get lost, and they wouldn’t have to veer too far away from their origins.
While replacing Redskins with Piscataway, would be difficult, perhaps they could use their other names such as the Conoy, Pascatowies, Paschatoway, Pazaticans, Pascoticons, Paskattaway, Pascatacon, Piscattaway, and Puscattawy.
