Allen West endorses former senate candidate, Dan Bongino for the 6th Congressional District in Maryland.

Once reliably Republican, voting Roscoe Bartlett in over and over by wide margins, the district went blue in 2012.

And by that, I mean it went full commie, handing John Delaney a blowout victory over Bartlett, 58% to 37%.

I can only assume there was some redistricting chicanery going on here, since this is the panhandle district.

Maryland, being so close to DC has caught the lib virus. It may be politically terminal, as in dead to logical, in plain sight arguments.

Apparently, Roscoe Bartlett was redistributed out of existence, with his former Western Maryland district miraculously adding a bizarre slice of Montgomery County.

My question. Why had the Democrats in Baltimore not done this earlier? How did Bartlett survive so long?

I don’t know why they didn’t do it in 2002. Probably cause they were focused on beating liberal RINO Connie Morella and hurting Bartlett would have helped her. Instead they made Morella’s seat slightly worse and she indeed lost in 2002. Before Bartlett, a moderate democrat, Beverly Byron, and before that her late husband, had held the seat. Byron lost the 1992 primary to a liberal and Barlett took it. Maryland was weird back in the day with a good deal of “conservative” Southern type democrats (who have all gone bye bye) and some liberal RINOs.

Anyway, the new 6th is a tough district, 42.6% Romney, Barlett, hurt by other things, actually ran behind Romney.

But it’s the only remotely competitive seat in state, our only target.

I’d be happy to vote for Dan Bongino, if Martin O’Boogers hadn’t gerrymandered me into Van Hellhole’s district.
