NBC Reporter Tries to Blame House GOP for ObamaCare Website Failure
NewsBusters ^

Posted on 10/24/2013 7:54:02 AM PDT by chessplayer

In an interview with Tennessee Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn on Wednesday's MSNBC Andrea Mitchell Reports, fill-in host and NBC White House correspondent Kristen Welker desperately attempted to blame Republicans for the disastrous ObamaCare website rollout: "Congress repeatedly refused to authorize requests by the Obama administration for additional funding for the rollout of the health care law. Administration officials say that funding potentially could have made a difference. So does Congress, do your colleagues bear any responsibility for this rocky rollout for refusing that funding?"

So $600,000,000 for design and implementation for this website was not enough ... how much then?

How much money is on the planet Earth?

Three times that amount.

Should have asked Walker if she was insane and suggest she make an appointment with a psychiatrist.

If GOP is not willing to attack and ridicule the Marxist propagandists posing as journalists, they should stay off TV

Republican pols might want to think about actually fighting back - every single time they’re hit with this kind of dung. A good start would be something along the lines of this: “Do you excrete the White House talking points and float their trial meme balloons for free, whether out of fear or party loyalty, or is there cash involved?”

Yep, think about the group in this country known as the tea party. An entity that focuses 90% of their efforts toward fiscal responsibility. They are now so demonized and distorted by the left leaning MSM that their (our) negative impression numbers are at 75%.

The slimey libs in this country are great making the public believe that shit (socialist agenda) is Creme Brulee'

@gritslady @kwelkernbc @NBCNews rent would imply that we actually got money, instead of most likely taxpayer funding this in part.

Nothing that comes out of the lying mouth of Kristen Welker should ever be believed again.

I hope her 15 minutes are up.

She's the kind of journalist that deserves to be saying “Ya want fries with that?” 80 times a day.

Someone should’ve told her to leave the thinking to the grown-ups.

For Welker, occupying a press cubicle at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. is her life’s dream. “I can’t remember a time when I didn’t want to be a White House correspondent,” she says. “This is the most exciting moment of my life.”

Earlier this month, she travelled to Burma with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. In June, it was South Africa with First Lady Michelle Obama, and in May, she accompanied the president throughout Europe for the G8 Summit.

Welker’s real initiation, however, occurred stateside a few weeks ago, when Obama called on her at an impromptu press briefing. It was her first time. She was the No. 3 questioner, after CNN’s Ed Henry and Ben Feller of Associated Press.

“It was incredibly exciting,” she recalls. “It felt like a new level of being; like I was actually a member of the White House press corps at that moment … I knew I wouldn’t have been called on if I hadn’t put in so much time in being at the White House.”

Welker says being a network anchor is not her ultimate ambition. “This is all I ever wanted to do. My goal right now is to become a great White House correspondent. If NBC would have me, I’d be happy to be here for years and years.”

As for what she wants for Christmas, that’s easy. “To break a really big story from the White House.”

What a dullard!
Someone in the News business should really pay more attention to current events.

Maybe she should watch a REAL news program to get her information...maybe Fox.
