The group of about 15 gathered at the State House rotunda, calling themselves the local chapter of the national “We Are All Arizona” Coalition and drawing attention to a weeklong drive to seek “dignity and respect” for “all immigrants.” One by one, they came to the podium. The Rev. Raymond Tetrault, retired pastor at St. Teresa Roman Catholic Church in Providence, focused on driver’s licenses.

Juan Garcia, of the Committee of Immigrants in Action, called on Congress, and especially House Republicans, to support “immigration reform” and pass a bill “this year.” If that doesn’t happen, he said through an interpreter, those who oppose it will “suffer at the polls with the denial of our vote.”he needs an interpreter,he cannot read or write or understand english... but wants us to give him a drivers license anyway or else you will suffer would this be denial of our-- illegal vote ?Someone wanting to be here so bad and he still has not learned english..

Now 1039 votes - still 88% no.

Interesting comment - “they walked across the border to get here, they can walk to work”! It’s not just an issue of a driver’s license, it’s auto insurance, many do not speak/read or write English. So now we’re going to have to have road signs in more than one language?

Just pure B.S.
