CHANDLER, AZ - Four boys have been arrested and booked into a juvenile detention center for brutally beating a kitten to death earlier this month, police said.

Sgt. Joe Favazzo, spokesman for the Chandler Police Department, said surveillance video turned into authorities, depicts six boys repeatedly abusing a young kitten.

The incident occurred on Oct. 14, but wasn’t reported to police until the next day.

According to police, the six boys – between the ages of 7 and 12 years old -- initially start to play with the playground equipment. It shows that they have a small dog and a kitten with them, however, the situation quickly turns dangerous for the kitten. According to the surveillance video, the boys begin to push the dog down the slide, forcing it to run into the kitten.

I had a crow in one of my trees that just would not shut up for hours. Took a co2 bb pellet pistol and winged him in the leg, wasn’t trying to kill, just scare off. i kind of felt a little bad but not so much. especially after i have seen what a group of these crows will do to smaller animals like small rabbits and such.

That's hilarious. Just this Friday I had reason to recall the ads in Boy's Life for Remington rifles, which featured short cartoon strips of , e.g., Boy Scouts shooting crows with a Remington rifle. Varmits, you know. No explanation needed.

I was very far from knowing anything about this, but I WAS a Boy Scout, so it made sense to me.

yeah and that is sadistic behavior. the amish on ‘puppy farms do tht too to certain pups that don’t somehow’meet criteria, and that is sadistic cruel behavior too.

just because certain people do that as SOP to otherwise healthy animals, it still is sadistic. i don’t care what the rationale is. if it’s injured, deformed, etc there’s a valid reason. healthy, or not the right color,no.

well i didn’t think it was hilarious. i really don’t like thepossibility of taking any life without a good reason, which was why again i wasn’t trying to kill. but i have little sympathy for crows when i’ve seen how THEY gang up on and go after weaker animals. it’s deliberate and they’ve got evil intelligence. they are unnecessarily cruel.

Something needs to be done with these boys ASAP.

Forty+ years ago, when I was about seven, I spent part of my summer at my cousin’s farm. He had three kids, the oldest, a boy about one year younger than me. Because of the age of the kids, he also had a hired hand, a teenager on release from juvenal detention working as a hired hand. This teenager could out work anyone, but there was a little something ‘not quite right’ about him. No one knew what was wrong with him at the time, but he was ‘a little off’.

One day, he took my six year old cousin, me and a few friends, across the railway tracks and a small swamp, to another pasture and an old, falling down farmhouse. Nothing eventful happened. On the way back, as we crossed the tracks, he caught a large frog, held it by its hind legs and dashed it across his other hand, stunning the frog. He then broke or disjointed the hind legs, posed it back into a sitting postition facing the train. Of course, the poor frog could not jump out of the way.

The teenager told us that he thought it would be ‘neat’ to see the frog explode, as the pressure wave from the approaching train would do this. I did not look to see if this was what happened or if the frog died. I was shocked at his cruelty and told my parents when they came to pick me up.

This farm hand eventually left the farm and ended up for a while at both Millhaven and Kingston Pen. He also spent time in the Penetanguishene Hospital for the Criminally Insane (now apparently known as the Mental Health Centre Penetanguishene). He was what was known then as a ‘didler’, known now as a paedophile, both boys and girls.

Something needs to be done with these AZ kids so they don’t turn out like this teenager did!

Cats and dogs are companion animals. People feel differently about them. If cows and pigs were companion animals we feel differently about them too.

But why aren’t cows and pigs companion animals? Because they aren’t like us, the way dogs and cats are. Predatory! Sympatico.

Stay away from my little girl kitty. I’m warning you that there’s a Tokarev, an Arisaka, a Mannlicher Carcono and a Mosin Nagant protecting her.

I have a soft spot for cats, especially kittens.

How anyone could commit a cruel act against such sweet creatures is beyond comprehension.

I hope they are jailed and raped.

No worries. I won’t. If you are attempting “irony”, though, you would have to have made a stand at some point against capital-punishment. Otherwise....no irony.

“torturing and killing animals for pleasure is not little suzy shoplifting some lip balm from walgreens.

and it’s not that every kid is doing it either. don’t minimize it. this is serious crap and it leads to more serious crap.”

THIS.

“you cannot treat those that get their jollis from torture and killing of other creatures, lightly, at any age. it’s an addiction and they soon need a bigger thrill.”

ITA. Like I said, far too many bleeding hearts here on this thread for a conservative forum. Glad to see another here understands the root problem and isn’t in favor of giving a slap on the wrist to these monsters.

Ah, so you noticed the in-congruence, too. You don’t have to post, but supporting the life movement would be apropos. ;-) I wonder if the number of sociopaths has risen since 1973 along with the drop in population. No one even considers those who weren’t born because of birth control. I’ll have to do some research.

As a kid on the farm we killed feral cats all the time. They are very destructive to poultry. We also kept several cats to control mice and rats. Of course the wanton killing of a kitten for the entertainment factor is repulsive but it is hardly a new act!!

i think you will find that the same people who’d post on this article are also those who post on stories’of moms killing babies in toilets, or the latest abortion doc in PA horrors, etc. there’s plenty of disgust and anger to go around. i am pissed at anyone taking pleasure at the cruelty of any innocents.
