Virginias Ken Cuccinelli would arguably be the most libertarian governor in the United States if he wins on Nov. 5 which makes it odd that hes become a top target for many libertarians.
Cuccinelli trails Democrat Terry McAuliffe in all polls, while Libertarian candidate Robert Sarvis is pulling 10 percent of the vote. One national libertarian group is spending big to back Sarvis and attack Cuccinelli.
But Cuccinelli has libertarian bona fides: As attorney general he led the states aiming to kill Obamacare, with all its mandates, taxes, regulations, subsidies and intrusions. He wants to cut the state income tax rate by 15 percent for individuals and 33 percent for corporations.

If he had backed Cruz he would be 10 points ahead right now...
Guess he is lacking “the right stuff”.
The average person in Northern Virginia is a government contractor or employee. They are whores who will vote for McAuliffe since he promises to spend lots of $$$.
This Sarvis clown is a straight up lib designed to tip the vote for TM. Normally, I’d denounce those who complain about libertarians running, but Sarvis is a plant. George Will wrote glowingly about him recently. The GOPe hates KC, I’m glad that Rand Paul is coming to support KC.
Libertarians in VA who support Robert Sarvis apparently aren’t too familiar with his policy statements. While he’s strong on 2nd Amendment issues, he’s pro-abortion, pro-tax and is a believer in man-made global warming.
Good
No... he wouldn't be.
All Virginians need to just shut up and vote for Ken Cuccinelli on Election Day. Some questions in life have such an obvious answer, it makes you a d*ck to even ask.
Ken Cuccinelli vs. Terry McAuliffe. Now REALLY, is there any reasonable question that should be asked?
why is that?
Pro-abortion is a libertarian position, as his support for the homosexual agenda.
Sarvis is an imperfect libertarian, but he is libertarian on the social issues, as you pointed out.
No he isn't, he is truly libertarian on social issues for instance.
I live in Virginia.. the Cruz factor is peripheral. Cruz came in and sang Cuccinelli’s praises and nothing moved poll-wise.
So the rights of the unborn don’t register on the libertarian radar screen as they did for Ron Paul, then?
Ron Paul is a republican from Texas.
A registered Repub who is widely considered a libertarian.
A republican that manged to hold onto a seat in Texas largely by rejecting some libertarianism, such as not being pro-abortion.
I don’t recall if he used to be open about the libertarian support for the homosexual agenda.
