No money down loans were not the problem which caused the omplosion of housing. It was the lack of a backround check on credit. Nowhe r e does Bush advocate a no credit check policy.here is what one poster on the page said and they are correct.

I did not see that the proposal is for those with bad credit or even blemished credit, but those without credit or simply no nest egg to use for a down-payment. But I did see the assertion made...Are FHA loans available for those with “impaired” or “blemished” credit? This addresses the down-payment issue only as far as I can see.”
