If Chrissy Snow "gets it", then any LIV can "get it"!

You are right. They removed the tumor.
http://www.everydayhealth.com/breast-cancer/suzanne-somers-and-the-future-of-breast-reconstruction.aspx

Somers first began researching alternative cancer therapies in 2001, after doctors found a tumor in one of her breasts. At the time, she declined chemotherapy but had a lumpectomy and 35 days of radiation, which left the right side of her chest deflated and small. Surgeons offered her two reconstructive options: implants (plural, meaning they would have to also remove her healthy breast) or a TRAM flap, a procedure that uses muscle, fat, and skin from the abdomen to create a new breast. Most women seeking post-treatment reconstruction choose one or the other — but Somers is not most women.

“I said, ‘Sew me back up,’” she recalls. “I knew something better would come along.”

Not quite true. I’m Canadian by birth and still live here (Calgary, fortunately, for the last 3 decades), and youd be amazed at the hate and fear of “for profit” here from the, as Rush outs it, low information voters.

It’s really quite depressing.

Cheers,
Jim

I don’t think she cares for Obama she just has not been so vocal about it.

You have to be pretty smart to convincingly act so ditzy. Intelligence and beauty more often go together than not, in my long experience investigating the subject.

Try reading the NY Times comments on any Barrycare-related story. It's a non-stop litany of how we need single payer right now.

The WSJ commnts are more balanced. But this one went full commie...

Jordan wrote: ARE YOU JOKING? This Lenin quote has been debunked. Also what would that even prove? Lenin wanted people to have more power—do we automatically think that that’s a bad idea just because he mentioned it? The only reason this fake quote carries any weight is because of remnants of the Red Scare, mainly impressed upon people who have never read the Communist Manifesto and don’t know what socialism even is.

I don’t blame her for skipping the chemo, I made the same choice after my cancer surgery. I would skip the guaranteed damage for a 0-2% improvement in 5 year survival.

I always thought her claim that alternative medicine saved her life was disingenuous when she had the tumor removed. I sent my surgeon a thank you card when I hit my one year cancer free anniversary, I’ll do the same when I hit two years and a third when I hit 5 years.

LOL, one of the comments admits he wants us to have socialized medicine so that their doctors will stop moving here and they could get their wait times reduced...

Chris wrote: In fact, the only complaint I’ve ever heard from friends or family about our healthcare system is that surgeries and specialists take a long time to schedule. That’s because specialists can make more money in the American system, where the dollars that the wealthy will put up to have their appointments before the less-deserving siphon away our top-end talent. When America catches up with the rest of the world and finally socializes their healthcare, Canadian wait times will become more reasonable.

Macleans: Need to see a specialist fast? Too bad you're not a dog. Rover will see an oncologist within days; you'll wait five weeks for a consultation. Bum hip? You could wait over a year. Cataracts? Three months. Whiskers could get both fixed tomorrow.

She writes well and she has been active in Adult Children Of Alcoholics and other things. I just received her new book on aging. She is very accomplished in many areas.

Quite right my good man! Where are the pictures so judgement can be made? Standards, are there no standards?

Interesting.

I’ve had a Canadian friend for the last 10 years. He keeps gloating about their superior healthcare system (on top of all the other reasons Canada is Superior to the U.S.).

Here’s another horror story from Canada. My daughter-in-law is a doctor there, but that did not protect her. Just from an X-ray she was diagnosed with a growth on her heart. No MRI. The open-heart surgery revealed nothing, no growth, just a mistaken diagnosis. Took her one year to fully recover from the surgery.

My wife subscribes to her newsletter. She seems to have a good head on her shoulders. Her position on Obamacare does not surprise us.

OK, but how do you resolve one of the real disputes of the late 20th Century, Mary Ann vs. Ginger?

Are you kidding? There's no contest there - Mary Ann by a mile. Ginger was a bimbo.
