It was all good up to the hardware reuse point.
What ever happened to becoming blood brothers anyway?

I think government schools need to focus on the basics and get out of anything else. A teacher encouraging kids to poke themselves with needles should probably go to jail. No good can come of it these days.
Abolish government schools.

Years ago we did this in school - with a fresh sealed needle for each student.
As for this ditz, her command of English is weak too.

I did it, too, for biology class.
Nobody had the guts to lance their finger but me. The same happened in college. (Even the nursing students couldn’t stab themselves.)
We always used a fresh lancet, duh.

I don’t see the problem. I did the same thing in H.S. (Except we didn’t reuse the lances)

Agreed. Back in the days when kids had more starch in their shorts than the adults of today.

Parents were upset because their kids were encouraged to bleed themselves in government screwl.
They have every right to be upset.

I can see firing someone for suspending a kid for making a gun with his fingers and going “pow!”.
I can see reprimanding someone for letting kids stick themselves in a blood-typing exercise. I don’t see firing them, though.

Good idea, flawed execution.

Did this in high school, what’s the big deal except the sharing of the lance....good grief they are like a penny a piece, each should have had their own.

Scouts are allowed to have knives?
Axes?
Matches?
Rifle Ranges?
Cleanliness?
