Since when do conservatives oppose this sort of spying? Friends today are competitors and opponents tomorrow - so naturally we spy on them. Big deal.

Of course Obama knew, and of course he will deny such knowledge. Bush would have done exactly the same if this traitor Snowden had leaked all this material on his watch.

Obama looks like an idiot denying he knew when we all know better, but that’s the whole point of “plausible deniability”. For the idiot in chief, this just compounds the problems he has because he is also busy denying he knew Obamacare was going to be a disaster (website not working, people losing insurance, etc).

We are all probably victims of misinformation. Have you ever worked with a government computer program? I will give you a hint... at least at the level where I am at the experience that I typically experience is more along the lines of https://www.healthcare.gov than the all knowing OZ as described by Eric Snowden. I think it is fairly likely that the entire Snowden situation is likely to be an elaborate ruse to shutdown all forms of electronic and phone communications within terrorist organizations.

The positives are these and more: It has got people all over the world concerned about government interference into their private lives. The entire electronics communications network within terrorist organizations is being disrupted. They are now most likely relying far more on couriers which are easier to track and apprehend. It is making Obama look like the complete lying Bozo that he is. Obviously I could go on and on.

The negatives are what? Terrorists know not to use cell phones, emails, electronic bulletin boards, websites and other means of electronics communications? That is a positive. Did Eric Snowden out anyone who is now at risk? I haven't heard of anyone. Our intelligence communities “techniques” have been exposed. What have you learned that you didn't already suspect? Our allies in Europe are mad at us? What is new? Maybe next time they won't give a Nobel Peace Prize to an unproven liar who never accomplished anything.

I am just not buying any of it. I think that more likely than not the entire situation is an elaborate ruse to shut down terrorist communication networks. It seems more so every time they trickle out some extra tidbit. As soon as our enemies start peaking out we fire a few more shots over their heads. Maybe Julian Assange will even be allowed to go to South America after this thing calms back down. It is all just too perfect.

Sure, they do it to us, too. But when we catch them we put them in jail, like Johnathon Pollard who got 30 years after spying for Israel against us.

But I don't care about non-U.S. citizens or foreign governments and others like that. I do care about having the US populace surveilled. I do care about putting black boxes inside all cars built or sold in the USA after 2014! Someday, I'm certain my paycheck will be in rubles and I'll have to toddle off to work every morning for my shift in the salt mines.
