Years ago, my ex was beating the crap outta me, and I managed to call 9-1-1 and a nice lady cop came and made him stop at gunpoint and hauled him away.
Of course that WAS 15 years ago and I DO live in ‘Flyover Country’ where that kind of behavior by men is STILL frowned upon. :)
Today? I KNOW I’m on my own...and I’m MORE than prepared. :)
Glad your 9-1-1 had a good outcome. Me, I don’t call 9-1-1. And I would advise anyone who might consider it to be prepared to accept the consequences. Good or bad I guess.
