It actually makes the case for full auto.

Also note, at the time of the writing of the Constitution, it was perfectly acceptable for private vessels to have their own cannon for fear of piracy. You could have a cannon on your farm if you wanted.

Nothing in the 2nd ammendment was ever intended to restrict the public from having inferior weaponry compared to the military.

...as I contemplate the NFA, the 1968, and 1986, gun laws designed by govt, and to some extent the NRA, to restrict what “shall not be infringed”.
