LOL. Nick Clegg is a petty politician, a petty little socialist who wants to destroy the monarchy.

Her Majesty will have him for breakfast one of these days, his days are numbered.

Tuesday, 5th Nov.

Seldom can the Queen have had more to “advise, encourage and warn” Nick Clegg about than his latest pet project, the Government’s new Succession to the Crown Bill.

An opportunity for the monarch to discuss the tinkering that he wants to do with the nation’s unwritten constitution was, alas, squandered earlier this month when he missed an unprecedented fourth meeting of the Privy Council.

The Liberal Democrat leader sent along Andrew Lansley, the Leader of the House of Commons, to represent him as the Lord President of the Council, which must make the meetings bewildering for the Queen: previously Lord Strathclyde, Kenneth Clarke and Caroline Spelman have had to stand in for him.

“I can’t believe we are having this -——— conversation again,” an aide to the DPM emoted in a tirade worthy of Malcolm Tucker in the television series The Thick of It. “The ——— fact is he can’t -——— be everywhere, but I know you are going to go off and write that the DPM has -——— snubbed the Queen once a -——— gain.”

Later, in an official statement, the DPM’s office said: “This was an emergency session of the Privy Council, which was arranged at very short notice. The DPM could not attend because he had already had a long-standing commitment to give evidence to the House of Lords Constitution Committee in Parliament at exactly the same time.

I am sure that little socialist prigs like Clegg would love to have a pliant, maleable, apologetic Charles as monarch. The Queen will see that never happens, ,both for the sake of the monarchy and the nation itself.

That isn't a bad description of him in my opinion, but it doesn't change the fact that as Deputy Prime Minister in a coalition government it was almost impossible for David Cameron to deny him the position of Lord President of the Council when he wanted it.

Her Majesty will have him for breakfast one of these days, his days are numbered.

It's not really her decision. She can only act on the advice of her Prime Minister on this issue, and Cameron isn't going to advise her to dismiss the Lord President of the Council, when it would probably end the coalition and bring down the government.

The Bill is now settled so the issues mentioned in the article have been addressed, but Clegg does have a fairly poor history in attending routine Privy Council meetings. He isn't obliged to - but he is supposed to - and he has missed a fair few.

I am sure that little socialist prigs like Clegg would love to have a pliant, maleable, apologetic Charles as monarch.

Well, he wouldn't get one. I've stood within metres of the Prince as a man ran towards him without warning firing a gun in what, for all the world, looked like an assassination attempt. He didn't even flinch. He's a lot tougher and a lot braver than you might think from the caricature presented of him in the mostly left-wing press.

The Queen will see that never happens, ,both for the sake of the monarchy and the nation itself.

Even if she wanted to - and she wouldn't - she could stop it. He is the Heir Apparent and she has no power to change that. Parliament has the power to alter the succession. The Queen does not.

And nobody in the Royal family wants William on the throne any earlier than he needs to be. He's still quite young, and he's only just in the process of beginning his life as a 'full time' Royal. He's still in his apprenticeship. If the job fell to him, he would do his best (and it might be very good), but he isn't ready. The Queen had to take on her role far younger than she would have liked. She won't do that to William. Nor will his father - the Prince of Wales wants William to have as much chance as a normal life as possible for as long as possible - something he feels he missed out on himself when he became Heir Apparent at the age of only five.

That's what inbreeding will do to you.

Or maybe his stupidity is caused by global warming!
