He has never been afraid to put his reputation on the line by indulging in controversial antics.

But many will be thinking Kanye West has gone too far after he brashly ignored critics and wore a jacket with a Confederate Flag patch in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The Georgia born singer was spotted in the garment after he worked up a sweat in a private boxing lesson.

I saw a teenager recently wearing shorts with bold letters "FCUK" which I found out represents a clothing company called French Connection United Kingdom.

Boy in the hood: Kanye tried to keep a low profile by wearing his top's cowl over his head

Now that's racist.

Kanye West doesn’t care about black people.

Aw, that’s not not true, he cares very deeply about how much money he can suck out of black people.

I think it’s fine if he wants to wear it

but can only blacks get away with wearing it?

If a white person wears it does that mean they are automatically a racist?

it is controversial but so what? Saying you are a d8ck is controversial too. Is that going to be the measure? If it’s controversial?

I think Kayne West might be starting a fashion trend here.

If you think about it, the confederate flag is the only symbol that unites black Americans. It is their only commonality, even if on the surface it is a negative one. As such, they could co-opt that flag as a means of defining their identity.

Seriously, what does it mean when a black person wears that flag? What if you got a thousand black people to all wear that flag at a rally? It would be a profound statement of unity.

There is a strange logic in this, such as when black people call each other the “n” word in a familiar manner.

Now all Kayne West needs to do is to make it fashionable for black people. If he can convince others to make a statement by wearing it, it could be taken over as a black symbol in short order.

Interesting question: if nobody were to look at Kanye West, would he cease to exist, or simply threatened to hold his breath until someone did look at him?

He’s a no talent lo-IQ Obama voter but he is smart enough to know how to scoop up some media attention. Ever see Jayzee on youtube? Hard to believe that this alleged music brings him in millions.
